YogaFest is back again this year at the buzzling area The Westergasfabriek, on June 17 & 18 in Amsterdam. The perfect place to relax in natural surroundings, but also a venue for digital art and culture. Several international and Amsterdam based yoga teachers will be present. All day long different styles of yoga, aerial yoga, meditation, inspiring talks, massages, healthy food, drinks and music. Classes are at the Westergastheater, outdoor and the new YogaFest Studio that opened it’s doors last September. So whether you are new to yoga or an experienced yoga practicer you will find your zen.

YogaFest International raises the bar again for the third year in a row with another strong line up and some new international faces. Felix Price from the UK is known for his special designed classes to uplift and inspire students through a dynamic and balanced sequence and relaxation to develop health, vitality and self-awareness. Libby Love will introduce you into the world of Jivamukti and she will let you explore the basics of asana, pranayama, mantra and meditation. Lucia Andrade is  one of the few Certified KPJAYI Mysore teachers in the world and she will teach 2 classes of Ashtanga at YogaFest. Andréa Paige recently left her position as the Director of Detox Department at the Yoga Barn in Ubud and she will learn you how to empower your body and learn the next steps in your practice.

The inspiring Boys of Yoga are joining the YogaFest program with their workshop Work hard, play hard with a clear message; yoga is good for everyone, the benefits are undeniable. They are showing this by a strong and fun Vinyasa Masterclass and closing party.

Next to these international teachers some of Amsterdam’ foremost teachers like Andreas Trussat, Anat Geiger, Marlene Henny, Marieke de Lange and Lennard Keijser will guide you to ulltimate bliss in an inspiring and sometimes challenging way.

Ofcourse there’s enough time for relaxation during this weekend. There will be massages all day long and for a truly healing experience there’s a workshop Sound healing by Tai Loi. You can also join the talk of international Ayurveda teacher Robert Svoboda, the first Westerner ever to graduate from a college of Ayurveda and licensed to practice Ayurveda in India. The talk is about Ayurveda of the breath, Pranava, Prana, Pranayama and Pratyahara. Or follow a meditation class  by Suzan van de Roemer and Eline van der Kam.

For food and drinks you are welcome in café Sage in the YogaFest Studio. Café Sage has a modern vegetarian/ vegan kitchen, great bocca coffee, fresh pressed juices, ginger tea and smoothies. Next to that also bubbles, wine and beer are served as life is not rigid but all embracing. It’s all about balance.
