Emma Rowlatt shares her knowledge on the powerful benefits of meditation
Emma Rowlatt shares her knowledge on the powerful benefits of meditation The purpose of meditation is to promote equanimity. If our mind is peaceful, we will be free from distractions enabling us to experience clarity. I travelled to Varanassi, India, to participate in a Vipassana meditation course. Vipassana translates as; “To see things as they really are.”
To achieve this state of wellbeing, participants are required to undergo a strict ten day meditation schedule, ten hours of mindfulness each day starting at 4.30am every morning. A noble silence is adhered to throughout.
The course left me rejuvenated, more alert and with an appreciation of a newly discovered inner harmony. The potent benefits of the course was apparent in the post-course healthy glow radiating from my whole being.
Not everyone has the time nor the funding to commit to such an extreme course of action, which is why I have condensed my learning and produced a series of meditations. The fifteen minute Energise and Motivate guided MP3 is available as a complimentary download from the link below or via my website emmarowlatt.com.
