TWIST BACKBEND SPLITS
HOW TO PERFORM
• Lie down on your back and hug your right knee into your chest.
• Draw your right knee down to the floor to your left and stretch your arms out to shoulder height along the floor. Turn your head to the right and breath deeply.
• Now straighten your right leg keeping it at the same level as much as possible, and if you can hold your right foot in your left hand.
• Now this is where things get complicated so focus! Bend your left leg and with your right hand take your left foot. I told you it was complicated! Draw your legs as far apart as possible. Remember this posture is a twist, backbend and splits all in one. Inhale to draw your legs apart towards splits and exhale to backbend and twist, releasing your right shoulder towards the floor to your right.
Repeat on the other side.
