Esther has been teaching yoga internationally for over 20 years. As one of the founders of EkhartYoga.com she has thousands of students worldwide following her online classes. Esther also loves to connect personally with her students at retreats, workshops, festivals, teacher trainings and her weekly classes near Amsterdam.
Esther worked for many years as a therapist and is fascinated with the human psyche. Through her spiritual studies (including the Clarity Process) she found that old conditionings are what hold us back from experiencing the reality of the present moment. It is this learning that Esther integrates into all her teachings, aiming her to enable her students to see past their old stories, freeing them up to experience the truth – the moment as it is now.
Esther loves teaching stronger styles like Vinyasa Flow and Hatha, focusing on strength, stability and fitness. Equally she loves the slower practices like Yin and Restorative yoga, meditation and Yoga Nidra that allow you to ‘drop in’ and get to know yourself better. As an avid student, Esther is continually evolving her practice through training and study. She is always open to questioning previous teaching methods (including her own) and challenging herself, integrating new learning and insights into her teaching.
“Throughout my life, practising yoga taught me to relax, how to relieve worries and stress. Yoga showed me the joys of being t and strong. Yoga taught me to self-reflect and to accept life as it is… finally, yoga and my Clarity work showed me that there was nothing to ‘find’ and that everything I was looking for is right here, right now.”
